Summary:

The Penderwicks is an incredible adventure that can be likened to a modern version of Little Women. It follows the story of four sisters who, after losing their mother when the youngest was born, embark on a summer vacation to Arundel. The grand mansion in Arundel becomes the backdrop for their escapades, where they encounter an intriguing boy named Jeffery. Rosalind, the oldest, takes on the role of a second mother to her younger siblings. Skye is an adventurous and energetic girl who loves climbing trees and getting into mischief. Jane, the third child, is sweet and kind, with a passion for soccer and a love for writing about her favorite fictional character, Sabrina Starr. Batty, the youngest, is extremely shy and often wears purple butterfly wings. Together, the girls have many delightful adventures.

Word of Caution:

All the books in the series contain elements of kissing, crushes, and boyfriends.

Positive Notes:

This enchanting story showcases the unique personalities of the four sisters. Readers will enjoy their vivid imaginations, mischief, and delightful adventures.

Who:

I recommend this book for girls aged 12-14.

Books:

Readers can watch the Penderwicks grow up by exploring the entire series, which includes The Penderwicks, The Penderwicks on Gardam Street, The Penderwicks at point Mouette, The Penderwicks in spring, and The Penderwicks at last.
