Join the pledge, "My place beside you, my blood for yours, till the green ember rises, or the end of the world." (S.D Smith)
Word of Caution:
This book is NOT a fairy tail. It is full of blood, death, monsters, and battle. It is about war and has some very gruesome deaths. It is not for young and sensitive children.
Positive Notes:
This is a great book written by a Christian author. It portrays the fight between evil and good in a very discreet way. It teaches children who to be loyal to, to stand up for what's right, and to defend the helpless. It teaches boys and girls alike to stand strong for their family and for their King.
Who:
As a read aloud children as young as 6 and as old as 15 have enjoyed this adventure as long as they are not sensitive to scary tales. The best age for independent readers is 7 or 8 but even teens enjoy it.
Books:
Welcome to an adventure of a life time. Be sure to read this series in order:
The Green Ember, Ember Falls, Ember Rising, and Embers End.
