Summary:
Little Sarah is small, quiet, and sweet. One day when her parents go visiting and her siblings forget to keep an eye on her, Sarah goes missing. Following a little bird, Sarah wanders too far from their cabin into the forest where she gets lost. Fortunately, she finds an animal friend who keeps her warm and safe during the chilling nights.
Sarah's parents search all over for her. Neighbors take time from their farms and people start coming from miles away to look for little Sarah. But as the fourth day comes many people doubt that Sarah will be found and begin to believe she is dead. Only Sarah's father believes that God will bring his daughter back safely. "Trust the Lord," he tells his family and they do. This amazing faith brings an amazing miracle.
Words of Caution: (Contains Spoilers!)
The animal that helps Sarah is a bear and for some young children, this might be scary. There is a part where Sarah tries to play with the bear's tail and the bear attacks her but not too hard. Also, keep in mind that the suspense of whether Sarah will be found or not might troublesome young children.
Positive Notes: (may contain spoilers)
I love how this book tells this true story in a sweet and simple way. It shows the power of God and that He indeed brings miracles. It's an amazing true story of a three-year-old girl who was missing for four days and brought back safely. Only through God's caring hand was this possible.
